Qi Gong Open Day, Saturday 27 August

There is a great Qigong event coming in Auckland, organised by the New Zealand Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine Association. I will be presenting our style of Ji Quan (Ultimate Spring) Qigong there and also doing the treatments all day long. This is an excellent opportunity to try Qigong for yourself!

3.20-3.50pm Ultimate Spring Qigong – between the Heaven and Earth

Qigong is about integration of the body, energy and mind. When we are born, we are complete and integral within. However, throughout our living we experience shocking and traumatic events that lead to separation inside – our energy body suffers damages which over time develop into physical imbalances and pain. Following our unsettled mind we loose our True energy allowing external pathogenic influences, either natural or man-made that are always lurking – to enter and lodge in us. Ultimate Spring (Ji Quan) Qigong is a way of regaining your integrity by accessing the infinite springs of Yin and Yang energies powering the Nature. By combining intent, gentle movement and breath, the energy body may be replenished by the natural flows. You can dispel "foreign" energies and regain your inner strength drawing your True Qi back into the system.

4-4.30pm Spontaneous practices – unbinding the Qi

Qigong is usually about directing the energy with your movements and mind. Even throughout our lifes we learn to apply our energy in order to reach certain goal. However, there are Qigong practices that are applied in an opposite way. Rather than directing the Qi-energy, you let the Qi itself to direct your movements and thoughts for some time – and see what amazing benefits it can bring. The ways of Qi are gentle, fluid and restful. Just like water it penetrates all living beings nurturing and supporting their lifes. Rather than binding the Qi to achieve the goals you fancy, follow the Qi, and you yourself will become like water – peaceful, nurturing and supporting for yourself and others.
